Golf experience should not be deemed as a mere means of spending spare time nor activities in pursuit of pleasure only. With such genuine understanding of golf experience, a privilege is granted to relish the highest degree of happiness as a person engaging in leisure activities seriously. In this context, it is of high significance to identify purposes of those seeking leisure activities being undertaken seriously, and consequent changes such participants of leisure activities go through and characteristics of leisure activities involving such participants. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to explore golf participants range of their experience. The present study used Phenomenological Approach, one of qualitative study methods widely used. In order to accomplish the purposes of the study above, the present study developed the following research questions of the study: What are the leisure experiences of serious golf participants? The participants of this study are consisted of 1 males and 2 females, i.e. a total of 3, all of which have engaged in golf for more than 3 year and have made strenuous efforts to accumulate specialty in such areas. As data collection methods, this study employed In-Depth Interview Method and Participatory Observation Method on a parallel basis, both of them are frequently used in qualitative study. The conclusions of this study are as follows: The golf participants were pleasure, expression and hardship while external motives were charm and social relationship. Second, experience of the golf participants were identified in 6 dimensions: 1) healthiness, 2) nimbleness, 3) troublesomeness 4) gratification, 5) intimacy, and 6) usualness.
