This study is on the influence of exercise items and characteristics by training period on athletes` Physical Fitness uses total of 73 objects in experimental group composed of male university athletes having over eight-year career at basketball, volleyball, handball, wrestling, kumdo, taekwondo, rugby, hockey and football(seven athletes respectively at each item) and comparative group of 10 university students. strength and muscular endurance is done by equipments at C University Fitness Center. For measuring strength and muscular endurance, the first measurement before winter training was conducted, the second measurement was done after training of 12 weeks by training programs based on exercise characteristics by items and the third measurement was after training of 12 weeks with class and exercise together based on programs by exercise items. 1. In the changes of muscular strength by exercise items according to training period, it shows increase of 4.6kg after first stage training and that of 0.43 kg after second training (p<.05) 2. In the changes of muscular endurance, it shows increase of 2.03 times after first stage training and decrease of 0.49 times after second training (p<.05) 3. In the changes of power, it shows increase of 1.98 cm after first stage training and that of 0.37 cm after second training (p<.05). 4. In the changes of agility, it shows increase of 1.68 times after first stage training and that of 2.64 times after second training (p<.05). 5. In the changes of flexibility, it shows increase of 1.33cm after first stage training and that of 0.27cm after second training (p<.05) 6. In the changes of heart and lung endurance, it shows increase of 3.54ml after first stage training and decrease of 0.51ml after second training (p<.05)
