The purpose of this paper is to suggest the measures to utilize leisure time essential in this age of individual leisure by re-establishing leisure activities patterns on the basis of family life cycle experienced in various stages of life and to purpose measures to over come leisure constraints from a level of entirely and group dimension to assit leisure activities. It is also amied to empiricaly analysis and explain the gap between leisure activities and its constraint. Subjects of this survey were a total of 675 housewives currently living in Seoul and Kyonggi Area and the result of thier responses filled to questionnaires conforming to purpose of survey and variables were collected. For the analysis of data statistical analysis methods such as correspondence analysis, multi-dimensional scaling(MDS), multiple classfication analysis, ANOVA, correlation analysis, factor analysis were applied. Through the above mentioned research method as a result of testing research hypothesis on leisure activities of and leisure constraints on housewives on the basis of family life cycle the following conclusions can be drawn: Firstly, it was revealed that intrapersonal constraints among various constraints based on family life cycle was most influential element to leisure activities. Furthermore interpersonal constraints were found as most influential to Ⅲstage; children education period and structural constraints to Ⅴstage; period for children`s marriage. Secondly, in the genernal aspect of leisure concerning age, educational level, income and number of family members there was difference particulary with 40-50 age group and was found that the higher level of perception on leisure and its participation and extent of indulgence were.
