After analyzing on actual stste and actual use condition of public athletic for subjects of 1,826 males and 554 females at Chon-ju city, Kun-san city and Ik-san city in the North Chola Province, I came to conclusions as follows; 1. There are 12 items of pulic athletic facilities at Chon-ju city, 7 items in Ik-san city and 4 items showing the poorest. condition in Kun-san city 2. The actual use condition is appeared ass some high degree as 41.7% of physical training pllaces, 21.7% of multipurpose lawn grounds in male case and 27.3% of physical training pllaces, 25.0% of indoor swimming pools in female case. 3. They use public commutation method in common. 4. The freguency of use on public athletic facilities was appeared highest on the lebel of I or 2 times a week for 58.7% of male and 63.5% of female 5. The usetime of public athletic facilities was appeared highest on the lebel of 30 minuties and below for 46.2% of male and 60.6% of female. 6. The usetime zone of public athletic facilities was appeared some highest on the zone before breakfast, after work for male and before breakfast, in the forenoon for female. 7. The actual state of voluntary joining to a club was appeared high taht they don`t have any club in common. 8. The reasons why they use the public athletic facilities are development of physical strength, relaxation for male and control of weight, development of physical strength for female. 9. To in crease condition of use public athletic facilities, most of them gave answers like positive administ ratave support, local residents enlightenment as well as instruct and expansion of subsidiary facilities. 10. It was appeared that the effects of sports activity on a community are harmony, unity and creation of sound atmosphere for 90% of male and female.
