This paper raise the question on the genesis of state as total violence, transcendent or virtual, premised by the political philosophers like Carl Schmitt, Walter Benjamin and Giorgio Agamben. Of course, these discourses are able to reveal that the State consists of a total Violence(Gewalt), but they risk of annihilating the historical differences, in regarding various violences and accidents as homogeneous. Therefore it is necessary to historicize the generation of state and the total Violence as logical antecedent. In this point of view, this paper would like to estimate the relation between origin of state and violence, with the case of genesis of state in France in the early 14th Century, i.e. the reigns of Philip IV the Fair and Philip V the Long. In this period of political crises, the violence phenomenon, appeared at the time of appearance of the state and unprecedented mechanism for contemporaries, is not the original massive Violence, but a series of violent events and accidents developed at the level of political communication. Moreover the sovereignty, sometimes identified with the original total Violence, is no more than a ruler`s rhetoric justifying his violences. In this perspective, the study on the state violence should be a historicization of birth of state. And the study on state violences on the social dimension should criticize the fictional character of the sovereign violence and its effect as symbolic violence.
