In this paper, we introduce the design and the results of the experimental study on user perception for Intelligent Expert Management Framework. Intelligent Expert Management Framework, which is proposed as an appropriate method to manage valuable tacit knowledge within the organization, defines the expert profile structure and proposes the efficient method to automate the process to collect and update the expert profile information based on the profile structure defined. To increase the satisfaction level of users, additional intelligent search features are defined and users can be given the list of experts in related or similar expert fields when they perform expert searches based on the expert database being built. In this paper, the results of experimental study, in which potential system users are introduced the prototype system with new expert management features such as automatic expert profile database building and updating and intelligent expert searches to test the applicability of those feature for their works, are given. We conducted a survey of students in IT-related majors based on TAM and the results show that there are not meaningful differences in terms of perceived ease of use between the traditional system and the system with new features. However, in terms of perceived usefulness, users view the system equipped with intelligent expert management feature as more useful.
