With increasing use of internet and explosive growth of SNS, insecurity about the invasion of privacy and personal data is increasing. Accordingly, the discussion of Right to be forgotten is being made progress actively around European. However, there lack empirical and systematic study for user level.
The purpose of this study is that estimate and compare recognition for Right to be forgotten of users. In addition, examine points to be considered first before the introduction of Right to be forgotten.
The study results are as follows: First, it is found that undergraduate who are information producer and consumer think that people need control right for personal data. Second, they consent the introduction of Right to be forgotten and think need reasonable and clear criteria before the introduction. Third, depending on major and time variation, there is a significant difference in the recognition about following items: ‘Discussion time of Right to be forgotten’, ‘necessity of reasonable criterion’, ‘German judgment about offender’, ‘the process of Right to be forgotten in European’
