Sports event is the most remarkable place to view with each other for victory. So, many countries invest in sports domain as like rearing and selecting of ‘sports gifted children’. In Korea is trying not only to discover gifted children through public service training sport gifted to be supported by Korean Foundation for the Next Generation Sport but also to improve legal system as like P.E. Promotion Act. The principles of P.E. have tried to improve the legal system, however have little interest in the training sport gifted, in particular, researchers of sport pedagogy take no interest it. Therefore, in this study, I examined the present condition of ‘the public services training sport gifted’(chapter 2), searched a few plans to improve the discovered problems(chapter 3), and provided educational direction of sport gifted children (chapter 4).
I examined the present condition of ‘public services training sport gifted’, classifying with backgrounds, the present condition, the procedure of the public services. The analyzed problems and the searched remedial action were as followings. Firstly, I presented problems showed in the level of selection as 1) public relations, 2) validity of selection, 3) appropriateness of selection, and remedial action as 1) enlargement of sample to select sport gifted, 2) reinforcement of qualitative assessment. Secondly, I presented problems of rearing as 1) a not-consistent program, 2) a not-designed curriculum, 3) a not-quality of instructor, and remedial action as 1) curriculum committee for rearing sport gifted, 2) necessity of curriculum design 3) educational guideline for instructor. Thirdly, I presented problems of management as 1) centralized management system, 2) non-influx to the athletic department at the school, and remedial action as decentralized management system.
And then, I provided the future-oriented direction to rear sport gifted as 1) creativity-based education, 2) competency-based education.
