Findings of this study have shown the profiles of female employees in Korean Hotels who have worked in the traditional female sectors of most hotel business. It is true that female hotel workers have been in difficulties for their career development. This research insists that better working conditions far female hotel workers should enhance the productivity of hotel business. Given this traditional view, it is regarded that none-employed women are better mothers than those with jobs. More female employees reported the increasing physical and emotional stress and high level of burnout. Therefore, at the industrial level, management should focus on changing their attitudes toward working women for their productivity. To facilitate it, professional women associations and government are hoped to take more active roles in educating the public of working women`s contribution to Korean hotel industry. Regarding the lack of network, results show that female employees in Korea have had difficulties in accessing to club activities, professional and informal net works. So far as they are away from $quot;old boy$quot; networks to a certain degree, it is not likely that they secure advantageous positions for their career development. Women`s own attitudes toward family and work might contribute to the lack of spouse support. It is a cultural value in Korea that their husband should become prominent in their industry. This is also an another obstacle that stand in the way for their career development. Therefore, Korean women in hotel industry should confront the cultural sanctions and their psychological barriers in order to gain support and respect of their families. The results of this research raises the importance female work-forces to keep pace with the international trends in hospitality area. The questions and discussions here are hoped to be a starting point that attract more attentions to the effective use of female hotel work-forces in the future.
