The purpose of this study is to examine nature of body and mind through historical contemplation a) meaning of body b) nature and concept of body c) relation between physical education and Dualism and Monism. This study analyze relationships between body and mind. Identify nature of body and mind and investigate relation The Bible and Dualism and Monism. This study focused on Plato, Asceticism, and Descartes. In order to solve the question I adopt literature study especially analytic method and speculative method. Results show Dualism and Monism are perceived differently according as concept and importance of physical education. Dualism emphasize mind but neglect body. The problem is that Dualism emphasize mind. A viewpoint of physical education It is important that systematic theory which overcome Dualism. Monism has variety aspect and concerns a question of moment. it is important to aware of limitation Dualism and Monism. Overview relationships between body and mind form traditional opinion to the present opinion we can prepare a foundation which solves present questions.
