Cloud computing has been gaining many attention by organizations in terms of IT usage at daily business routines as well as IT innovation. However, depending of IT capability, organizations may or may not be successful with cloud computing. Thus, this study focuses on organizational" IT capability based on resource-based theory(RBT) in order to examine its role in successful cloud computing project. The proposed research model includes technical IT capability(database management, network, and IT infrastructure) as a key determinant influencing organizational successful cloud computing project. Futhermore, the study investigates the role of relational IT capability and managerial IT capability as a moderating effects between variables in technical IT capability and successful cloud computing project. The data from various firms was analyzed using structural equational modeling(SEM). The findings show that all proposed hypotheses are significant, implying technical IT capability, relational IT capability, and managerial IT capability are crucial and enhancing factors on successful cloud computing project at organizations. Finally, the academical and practical implications are discussed.
