The purpose of this study is to find out an exercise intensity and an energy consumption in the dance sports. The testee of this study is the amateur player of 26 - 27 years old with career for two years in the dance sports. The following conclusions were obtained as a result of measurement of energy consumption, oxygen consumption per weight unit, cardiac pulsation - number etc.. throught wireless gas analyzer and Meta Max to test a player`s dancing skill for each ten minute with two events of Latin American dancing and two of Modern dancing for the events of the test. ① The cardiac pulsation-number of average was 136beat/min from female and 128beat/min from male while they were waltzing and thatoxygen consumption was 30.1m1/kg · min from female and 26.7m1/kg · min from male individually. ② The cardiac pulsation - number of average was 151beat/min from female and 147.6beat/min from male while they were Tango and that oxygen consumption was 30.1m1/kg · min from female and 35.7m1/kg · min from male individually. ③ The cardiac pulsation number of average was 141beat/min from female and 116beat/min from male while they were dancing Rumba and that oxygen consumption was 26.7m1/kg · min from female and 19.9m1/kg · min from male individually. ④ The cardiac pulsation - number of average was 157beat/min from female and 139beat/min from male while they were dancing Jaiv and that oxygen consumption was 36.6m1/kg · min from female and 32.4m1/kg · min from male individually. ⑤ There was a statically significant difference in the cardiac pulsation - number of average and the oxygen consumption per weight unit by events, by female & male while they are dancing in these four items. The energy consumption was 7.8ca1/min from female and 8.3ca1/min from male while they were Waltz and 7ca1/min from female and 6.2ca1/min from male while dancing Rumba and 9.5/min from female and 9.6ca1/min from male while dancing Jaiv. The survey indicated that no statistically significand difference was observed between female & male, while there was a statistically significant differences between these items as the result of test of the significant differences between by female & male, by items in accordance with the energy consumption. With regards to the conclusion as indicated above, the dance sports has not only the advantage of capable of controling exercise intensity and energy consumption easily of meet a desired purpose in accordance with its level of controlling of dance events of arrangement and consecutive hours but it has a proper exercise intensith as an item of living physical training.
