Human being has an inherent trend to realise his unique self in the light of the sense of his existence. It is very important to create and develope his own personality in building his character. The process which he has practised aims at, through creative dance, developing his personality for at once physical development and intellectual, emotional and spiritual one. The most fimdamental image of dance is the world sharing time and space with others, which allows the state of co-existence with them. In other words, it means to make up the world in which the young and the aged or the patients groups become one and enjoy themselves through dance movement. Dance, viewed as the pezsonal development and the relationship with others, will reinforce its role through the communication of dance movement. An American psychiatrist, serving at St. Elizabeth hospital in Washington, invited a professional dancer in order to install dance sessions for patients. It was from that time at 1942 that dance therapy started. Maria chase, who said $quot;Dance is communication$quot; become the first chairman of American Therapy Association. She made every effort to grope for approach to relationship between human beings through dance movement. Dance therapy can be a catalyst for internal process to control stress and breath and physical movement to lead emotion and to consist of feeling expression through physical perception and senses. Dance therapy can help to recognise the importance of fession of mind and body. The role of dance therapy among dance movement sessions, is also important for it helps clients to make actions easy and clear and to facilitate understanding within personal development and group movement during sessions. Also it can help clients to aclrnowledge the importance of their personality and to experience the attitude and the movement for themselves, which they think they couldn`t do. Clients, having experience dance therapy sessions can analyse, by themselves, the aim of movement and its interpretation and the activity evaluation from introduction of dance movement sessions to conclusion session through psychological approach and the approach to the handicapped and the aged. today, the process or treatment, based on the creative movement(creative dance) in dance therapy is comprising, irrespective of West and East. Every individual, who can interrelate the outside people through the dance movement and rhythm from the world of locked body and mind.
