The Purpose of this study was to investigate the happiness in physical education class of secondary school students. First, Semi-structured open-ended questionnaire made by 4w 1h(when, where, what, why, how) was asked 360 middle and high school students. Happiness in physical education class for open-ended questionnaire were collected and then their contents were analyzed inductively. According to the suggestion of validity committee, 2563 cases were adopted except similar or repeated ones. Based on the results of validity committee, raw data were categorized into 45 specific domains and 16 general domains: achievement, psychological benefits, friends, competence, winning and competition, performance assesment, autonomy, physical activity, social benefit, joy, teacher, physical activity, social benefit, joy, teacher, physical benefit, break, various experience. Second, 8 secondary school students participate the in-depth interview. The results of the interview showed that similar results for open-ended questionnaire except physical education class in classroom. we are discussed the traits and factor according to the results on happiness in physical education class of secondary school. Finally we are suggested the limitation and direction of future research.
