This paper’s aim is that we can understand the prosess of composing concept of the new-thendendcy novel, by analyzing the monthly survey of the literary world in the middle of the 1920’s. In those days, A monly review was prevelant among the literary magazines, and many authors criticized their colleage-writer’s work. Even though, they were not professional reviewer, a monly review implicated the common-sense about ‘what is modern literaure’, or ‘what is a good novel’. At that time, what they thought a good novel was, to sum up, the organization of reprentiaton and the production og pleasure. Kim Gi jin and Park Young Hee, the early proletarian literature theorist, agreed partly this common-sense.
However, Kim and Park, as the early proletarian literature theorist, had to explain the “special nature” of proletarian literature in the 1920’s. Kim and Park explained the special nature of proletarian literature as follow this. Firstly, they regarded auther’s view of the world as most important, as a subject matter in novel. This opinion was contrasted strikingly with the writer’s view of the time, in the 1920’s. But they saw the form of the novel, esepecially, the matter of description, very differently. About this description matter, the form of the novel, Kim understood, this matter was the he organization of reprentiaton and the production og pleasure. Kim’s view was nearly accord with the dominant view. Meanwhile, Park thought the discription matter, the form of the novel, as the matter of impicaion to the new world.
