Information and communication technology can enhance information sharing by lowering temporal an spatial barriers between fandom members, and improving access to information about their favorite star. However, the biggest challenge in fostering information sharing in online fandom is the supply of information , namely the willingness to share information with other fandom members. This paper investigates the determinants of personal traits and behavioral variable influencing on fan"s information sharing in SNS drawing on the Social Capital Theory. The study holds that the important facets of structural social capital ? social interaction through information sharing ? will be influenced by individuals" personal traits(opinion leadership and innovativeness) and information creating behavior. We also argue that information creating moderate the relationship personal traits(opinion leadership and informativeness) and information sharing. Data are collected from 260 members of online fandom for popular star. The results help in identifying the determinants of fans" information sharing behavior in online fandom. The implications for theory and practice and future research directions are discussed.
