The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between competitive state anxiety and sports performance of university Taekwondo athlete. As a data analysis method for the examination of descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, correlation and multiple regression analysis have been executed, using Win. SPSS Ver. 21 program. The major result are as follow: First, there was no significant difference between competitive state anxiety and demographic feature. Second, there was significant difference between sports performance, the control of condition, mental image and department target setting and resolving a tension factor, and university place of demographic feature. Third, there was significant difference between somatic state anxiety of competitive state anxiety and sports performance among self talking, the control of condition, mental image and department target setting and resolving a tension factor. Forth, there was significant difference between cognitive state anxiety of competitive state anxiety and sports performance among self talking, the control of condition, resolving a tension and mental control factor. Fifth, there was significant difference among sports performance university athletic Taekwondo with respect to cognitive and somatic state anxiety, but no significant difference with respect to self-confidence. Sixth, there was significant casual relationship between competitive state anxiety and sports performance of university athletic Taekwondo.
