A structural model on social support, career awareness, career preparation behavior and career decision has been analyzed with a sample of 566 college students majoring in physical education, and the results are as follows;
First, there is significant difference in the level of career decision depending on individual characteristics. Male students have higher level of career decision than female students. Upper grades have higher level of career decision than lower grades. The group who express high satisfaction with their major have higher level of career decision than the group who express medium and low satisfaction with their major.
Second, the initial hypothetical structural model designed with social support, career awareness, career preparation behavior and career decision of college students majoring in physical education was inappropriate for the analysis due to some measured variables. The revised model is appropriate after eliminating those inappropriate factors.
Third, as for the factors that have direct influence on career decision of college students majoring in physical education, career preparation behavior is the most influential, them comes career awareness and social support in order. Social support and career awareness also have indirect influence on career decision.
