The constituent that let the Dunhuang Culture to be distinguished from the main flow of Chinese culture is an existence of the dual code system consisted of own culture and the foreign culture, the most important aspect in this area is an active peculiarity and dynamic feature of Dunhuang which as the point where the multinational culture was grafting and crossing.
Mixed diverse cultures was in mesh with the tradition and history of Dunhuang through the artistic performance shows changed, gathered, divaricated, and overlapped patterns in a variety of fields. The best example of this process is a procedure which those numerous Buddhist culture texts become one part of Chinese culture text which from Sokgang via Byeonmun and succeeding to Chinese Novel.
When we’re going to find a bifurcation in the history of Chinese culture, we can adduce this diverging point is the formation and development of Dunhuang culture which approached as an adjoining cultural phenomenon, at the same time this is also a traces of Chinese cultural history which a predictable development line, namely a polyphonic patterns can be referred as a new and innovative Dunhuang culture occurred from the circumjacent area of Chinese culture and had been moved slowly towards the center of it.
