The aerodynamic lift force on a pantograph is one of main factors to change the contact force between a pantograph and a contact wire. In this study, we performed the numerical analysis for the developing pantograph of new-generation high speed train. From the aerodynamic simulation for 3 shapes of pantograph, we analyze the aerodynamic characteristic of parts on pantograph for the driving direction, open knee and close knee, at the various speed. The Fluent software is used for the calculation of flow profile in this study.
