This paper aims to review the process of architectural design and construction of a new detached house, and to provide some reference materials for the people who wants to build new house in similar situation. Main points of architectural planning can be summarized as adaptation of natural topography, space layout considering energy flow, consideration of
housewife’s living characteristics, maximization of insulating effect, pursuit of easy maintainability, intention of familiar exterior form and dynamic interior space, introduction of various security measures, and application of solar energy system. Sweet living in new house started, and design intentions will be evaluated in several years.
