Korean Wave is spreading as a phenomenon of worldwide popular culture beyond Asia. The Korean wave fever is fiercely blowing in the United States and Europe as well as even the South America region. If the Korean wave of idols had led the fever in the Asia region, now the singer PSY is broadening the genre and territory with the ‘global Korean wave’. Accordingly, the researcher has performed an in-depth analysis on K-POP which is raising the national brand called ‘Korea’ as global popular culture contents. First, what is Korean wave and the K-POP phenomenon standing at the peak of Korean wave has been investigated by each time period. Next, how fast K-POP is spreading through a platform called Youtube and to what extent of scale it has expanded also has been researched. Especially, the correlation between contents and platform (Youtube)-Network (SNS)-Terminal (smart phone, etc) has been investigated by analyzing the ‘Gangnam Style’ and ‘Gentleman’ music video syndrome of singer PSY using a value chain called ‘C-P-N-T’.
