The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between second to fourth digit ratio(2D:4D), profile of mood state and perfectionism according to ACE gene polymorphism in athletes and sedentary people. The subjects of 151 national team and 183 general college student. Studies performed for the ACE Gene polymorphic analysis, second to fourth digit ratio(2D:4D) measurement, and mood states and perfectionism for the survey. With the collected data, correlation analysis were performed by SPSS 15.0. The results of the analysis were summarized as follows. First, there was no significant correlate between the 2D:4D ratio and profile of mood state, but positive correlate between right hand 2D:4D ratio and other-oriented perfectionism of ACE Ⅱ genotype in athletes. And there was no significant correlate between the 2D:4D ratio and profile of mood state, but negative correlate between left hand and right hand 2D:4D ratio and socially prescribed perfectionism of ACE DD genotype in athletes. Moreover, there was positive correlate between the left hand and right hand 2D:4D ratio and depression, but negative correlate between the left hand and right hand 2D:4D ratio and self-oriented perfectionism of ACE ID genotype in athletes. Second, there was no significant correlate between the left hand and right hand 2D:4D ratio and profile of mood state, and perfectionism of ACE Ⅱ genotype in sedentary people. And there was negative correlate between left hand 2D:4D ratio and confusion, but no significant correlate between the left hand and right hand 2D:4D ratio and perfectionism of ACE DD genotype in sedentary people. Moreover, there was negative correlate between the left hand 2D:4D ratio and vigor, but positive correlate between right hand 2D:4D ratio and confusion, and there was no significant correlate between the left hand and right hand 2D:4D ratio and perfectionism of ACE ID genotype in sedentary people.
