This research aimed at clarifying the bondage of being of Kukubu Naoichi who was a typical researcher of the ethnogenetic theory of the Japanese people after World War II. As part of an assimilation policy, ethnogenetic theories of the Japanese people were conceived on the assumption of “migration” in order to specify the blood relationship between Asian race and the Japanese race in the period of imperialism age. On the other hand, it was considered that these theories were dangerous ideology and ethnogenetic theories of the Japanese people have been formed only by the view of "cultural diffusion" after World War II. Kokubu who went back from Taiwan in 1949 formed the theory focusing on the culture from southeast asia. The early theory of Kokubu was formed only from the viewpoint of “cultural diffusion”, while the viewpoint of “migration” was eliminated, but the theory after the 90s accepted the theory of the physical authropology which approve ancient Japanese"s half-breed, and was formed from the viewpoint of “migration.” Nevertheless, Kokubu was negative for accepting an academic relation with Torii Ryuzo who hade form the ethnogenetic theory of the Japanese people from the viewpoint of of “migration” before World War II. Although Kokubu emphasized the race from southeast asia, in fact, Torii named it the “Indochinese” in 1916. It is regrettable that postwar researcher have not able to accept the fact plainly under the aftereffect of imperialism
