The international society has strived for ‘sustainable development’ due to the change of the global environment and the natural disasters emerging as global problems. The climate change accelerated by the development activities of human is now working as a main factor affecting human’s general activities. The whole world recognizes the seriousness of climate change and gives its best to develop alternative energy and increase the energy efficiency to mitigate the damage from greenhouse through reduction of gas emissions. Each country is establishing several measures adapting that the climate change is irreversible phenomenon. However, not all countries are actively responding to climate change. The developed countries having sufficient technology development capacity consider climate change as a new opportunities for growth, while the developing countries regard it as a big challenge as the reduction of poverty.
Green Climate Fund is the result of human wisdom hoping to share the current standard of living with future generations in response to climate change. Thus, Green Climate Fund has responsibility to cope with climate change strictly as the global challenges on the basis of sustainability. The world is asking for green global leadership to us that have the headquarters for Green Climate Fund. It is necessary to pull together to make Green Climate Fund work successfully including stable funding, adjustment of the interests between the developed and developing countries, the settlements of the sustainable development paradigm.
