The purpose of this study is to understand the color preference of college students and to analyze the characteristic of colors in private space of houses. The methods used are field surveys.
The most preferred color was blue, orange, yellow, green, purple, red, and navy in order. The least preferred color was orange, purple, blue, green, red, yellow, blue in order. The ceiling and the wall used yellowish colors and the floor used ivory, yellowish or oreangish colors.
As the result the college students preferred the whitish color room the most when they survey with the 9 different interior images which contained the chromatic and achromatic color ranges.
The finding is that the college students liked the variety of colors as a point color only in a certain area yet they preferred the bright and clean achromatic color images as a most interior space.
