In this study, the rubber pad forming process is used to fabricate the micro-channel plate of stainless steel 304 for the proton exchange membrane(PEM) fuel cell. Metallic bipolar plates have received considerable attention because of their low cost, excellent mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties, and simple fabrication techniques. The micro-channel plate was fabricated using a hydraulic press with a capability of 200 ton according to the various parameters (type of punch speed, plate pressure, rubber thickness, rubber hardness, channel draft angle) of the rubber pad forming in order to evaluate the formability.
