This article examines how changes to the Silla traffic route that connects China and Japan in accordance with historical development. Silla exchanged by the transportation route that connects Ulsan and Tsushima Island, Chikushi, Naniwa Ferry in early ancient Period. Silla diplomatic envoys stepped ahead toward the Western Chin Dynasty through the traffic route that connects Jukryeong and Yeongseo Area of Gangwon-Do, the center of Daebang-gun and Naklang-gun, and the northern coastal passage of the Yellow Sea that connects the Shandong Peninsula and the Daedong River estuary in the second half of the 3rd century. After acquiring the Han River Basin in the middle of the 6th century, Silla people, including diplomatic envoys, reached to the Danghangjin(Dangeunpo) Ferry through Kyeorypryeong or Hwaryeong Ridge from Sangju, and again they were there in the boat had arrived in the Shandong Peninsula by crossing the Yellow Sea Central. Increasing public traffic in the Late Period of Silla, the cases that use the obliquely crossing route of the Yellow Sea Southern have greatly increased. Also the traffic route, newly established in 9th century, that connects Jeollanam-coast, including the Wando or Cheongju and the Goto archipelago of Japan has been widely utilized.
