Language for Joseon dynasty and Koryo dynasty are taught in Sa yukwon and Tongmonkwan respectively. Forbearers who had command of a foreign language were selected as government experts after Gwageo examination. Also, they had textbooks for learning of a foreign language.
The Noguldae is a textbook of practical conversation through technique of story telling in the Chinese and Mongolian languages.
The book of Mongolian Noguldae is made for people who go to china selling or buying products from the Joseon period. The book was made by dialogic and it was helpful in business as a text book of the spoken foreign language. Also, through its description the reader could guess how people lived in Joseon period. The book of Mongolian Yuhae is a vocabulary dictionary wrote for the use of the Mongolia language with the Korean translation put to the right side of the column. The Cheophae Mongolian is a textbook of letter writing which made by conversation of two people and reader.
The three (Mongolian) book series are the main text books for learning the Mongolian language. Let’s take a look at story telling structure for the Mongolian Noguldae.
