Emissaries played a significant mediating role in the relationships between Choson and Ming Dynasty. The stable development of bilateral political relations had close connection with the emissaries’ intercourse of both sides. The number of the emissaries’ intercourse and their effective communication had great impacts on the development of relations between Choson and Ming Dynasty and vice versa. The emissaries of Choson constantly paid tribute to Ming Dynasty, and they were invested with titles and honorary peerages in return. The emissaries completed their missions and set up a communication bridge for the two countries.
