This Essay explores the legal problems of Korean broadcasting law in the respect of the independence of Korean public broadcasting system(KBS) The broadcasting plays an important role to build the private and public opinion of people And it also plays a great role to constitute the identity of nation in modern state This function of broadcasting is achieved with the accurate legal institution and process in the area of broadcasting law
But the Korean broadcasting law include so many legal problems with the positive function of public broadcasting system The Korean broadcasting law has unreasonable of this committee is depend to the appointment of president and parliament The KBS can not achieves its constitutional function in this condition So it is recommended the revision of Korean broadcasting law
The unreasonable article for the independence of KBS is exposed in another law The law of public machinery has also the possibility to suppress the independence of KBS with the appointment of KBS as public machinery by Minister of financial planning makes the KBS as a part of administrative machinery In this condition the independence of KBS can not exist and this caused the distorted function of constitutional means of broadcasting
So it is recommended the reasonable revision of Korean broadcasting law for the purpose of independence of KBS from the state and other social pressure group
