US, Japan and other countries around the world are running in competitive Green Race to take the leadership in “Low-Carbon, Green Growth”. As to follow the trend, our government proposed “Low-Carbon, Green Growth” as new national paradigm on August 2008. Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning(KETEP) established “Strategic roadmap to reduce GHG emission” for the preparation of R&D Action Plan. It is the industry-oriented commercialization strategy, which reflects market demand. In this paper, strategic roadmap to reduce GHG emission in combustion sector has been suggested including 5 strategic items and key technologies which government and private sector should focus on as well as strategic directions, R&D schedule by year, commercialization strategy.
