The purpose of this research is to examine the critical factors influencing e-learning satisfaction through the integrated research model of perspective of Davis’s Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and flow theory. Using self-directed learning, contents quality as independent variable, e-learning satisfaction as dependent variable and attitude and flow as mediator, this research has examined the relationship among these variables. The survey method was used for this research, and data from 409 e-learning users were used for Structural Equation Model(SEM) analysis.
The main results of this empirical research are summarized as follows. First, contents quality has a significant effect on e-learning satisfaction. Second, attitude and flow play a mediating role in the relationship between self-directed learning, contents quality and e-learning satisfaction. The meaningful implication of this research is that e-learning satisfaction improves through well-developed attitude and flow as well as contents quality and self-directed learning.
