The purpose of this study is to analyze industrial characteristics and locational characteristics of Cultural Contents industries on Korea. Since the late 90’s, Cultural Contents Industries have been integrated vertically and horizontally to respond to the change of market environments. The locational characteristics of Cultural Contents Industries can be influenced by change of industrial structure. The locational characteristics are analyzed by comparing LQ of Cultural Contents Industries in 83 cities.
As the result of analyzing the spatial distribution, production department of Culture Contents Industries have been concentrated to Seoul Metropolitan Area. This results suggest that central government and local governments should consider the industrial characteristics on regional development policy.
