People in different culture may not understand the significance of the grammar in another language correctly, let alone know how to use them. For example, ‘-deni’, a Korean recall performance we are going to discuss in this paper. In Korean grammar, it has its characteristics. SBecause of this, it is difficult for people to use Chinese, a language of a different grammar system, to explain its real meaning. The recall program of Korean ‘-de’ can be used in many ways and it also has several corresponding grammatical forms. In Chinese the equivalent grammatical category of ‘recall’ does not exist. In China, Korean learners tend to refer to Chinese grammar when they are learning Korean, which may cause problems for their learning.
‘-Deni’ is used the most frequently in ‘-de’s corresponding grammatical forms. So far, there has been a lot of studies about ‘-deni’, but the studies of Korean recall performance and Chinese recall performance in terms of contrastive linguistics are far from enough. This article will first explain the meaning and usage of ‘-deni’ for Chinese learners, and then compare it with the recall performance of Chinese. At last, the author will put forward some effective approaches for Chinese learners to study Korean recall performance.
