Corrosion behavior of Fe-(16~19)Cr-(0.1~0.6)Ti-(0.1~0.6)Nb stainless steels were examined in 0.05 M H2SO4 solution and 0.2 M NaCl solution. Cr improved general corrosion and localized corrosion resistance. The increase in the contents of Ti and Nb caused a linear increase in the general corrosion resistance, while the pitting potential was maximized for the alloy with 0.4 wt.% of these elements.
