The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of land use in Youngmun subway influencing area in Daejeon. The times of analysis are the year 2003(previous time of the subway opening) and the year 2009(after time of the subway opening). This study is based on the building register. The results are summarized as follows.
First, the building uses such as residence(33.1%), retail & service(28.0%), automobile(9.9%) and business(8.2%) were major use in the subway influencing area in 2009. Comparing the area of building use of the year 2003 with that of the year 2009, it was shown that the increase of residential use was the highest as 48.1%, that of culture & religion use was 13.0% and that of retail & service was 12.7%. Secondly, the change of area between building uses was analyzed. Analysis showed that retail & service use had a majority of Hie change of area. In addition, it was observed that the business use and residential use were replaced with medical use and education & research & welfare use. And finally, to draw the change pattern(c1assification) in building use, a statistical analysis method, MDS(Multidimensional Scaling) was performed. There were close connections between ‘residential use and retail & service use’, ‘culture use, education use and recreation use’ and among ‘athletics use, lodging use and medical use’ in the respect of the change of building use.
