In this study I investigate linguistic aspects how to express the sorrow after separating with a dead son and then how to overcome it in the book of Please Say a Word written by Wan-Seo Bark. The reason why I take this book as an analytical object is that live linguistic expressions under the process of overcoming the pain are really found in it. Through this research, I hope to make the basic of communicational model to heal the interviewees who have been in the sadness after separating deadly with lovely ones. In the book of Please Say a Word, I can find extremely self-contemptuous words and abnormally egotic monologues and also read painful expressions about selfcircumstances and emotion. This study can further develop as a communicational model for the people who have undergone this kind of sorrow or lamentation. In brief, this paper shows what are healing words and focuses on the direct expressions about sorrow, aspiration and questions to God, conscious conversion by modified sentences, reflection of good memory and silence.
