The paper analyzes problems and their elements in the usage of touch screen news board that each newspaper company installs and manages in public place among touch screen panels, and explores user-interface scheme for more advanced usage.
Through PDF-viewer type touch-screen-TV newspaper service called eye paper, which is one of the many evolutionary forms of newspaper medium (such as mobile newspaper, internet new site, PC...), the paper analyzes accessibility and usability, and further explores what would be the high-quality experience for users of digital newspaper in the public place, and presents new design suggestions. In particular, with securing of certain amount of privacy in reading articles in public place such as touch screen newspaper as point at issue, the paper seeks to suggest touch screen interface that can reorganize the entire screen display area and personalize it.
