In web 2.0 content that focuses on openness, participation and sharing, it is very critical to display each factor functionally appropriate to a final goal of an information provider and to choose a right way of visualization of communication process to meet a user's need.
Recently we have lots of customized web navigation designs applying visualization tools in order to prevent not only being lost in information but also visual disharmony. Therefore we need a study about consistent navigation design considering identity and interaction of web 2.0 contents. This study first focuses on a theoretical aspect of various information visualization methods within web 2.0 type interface. Then, it conducts a comparative analysis of various visualization types and their utilities based on tag output methods.
Through the analysis result, the study suggests a necessity of active participation in and efforts for web 2.0 information visualization based on recognition that design-focused interests and approaches are very important in implementing an ideal web of the future.
