IT convergence is a combination of traditional industry and IT technology including advanced computing and communication. In this paper, two IT convergence applications were developed based on event. The one is a remote energy information system with demand response in real time using wireless communication. The other is a remote dust chamber bag control system using Power Line Communication (PLC). First of all, we developed a connection method between a device sensor and a mode of communication which was a wireless communication or a PLC, and we designed an n-bytes message format to transmit data from a device to a User Portal and from a User Portal to a device for efficient information exchange. In addition to that, we developed object modeling, device modeling and event modeling based on XML (eXtensible Markup Language) using the object-oriented modeling method. Also, events could occur concurrently from many sensors of devices or users, and the parallel processing method was implemented using a thread. To efficiently show results in real time, systems provide various Graphic User Interfaces (GUI) such as a bar graph, a table, and a combination of the two.
