This study was intended to investigate the difference in preference and type between position compromise and interest compromise of the college students majoring in physical education and sport in the course of career compromise. For this purpose, the questionnaire research was conducted for 692 male and female college students(male: 317 and female: 312) majoring in physical education and sport at 2-year and 4-year colleges located in Seoul and Kyonggi Province. As a result, it was found that there was not a statistically significant difference in the preference of career compromise according to the school system, gender and both school system and gender. It was found that the male college students who were in upper grades in the 4-year colleges had the high will to compromise in the preference of position compromise, interest compromise and overall career compromise. It was found that there was a significant difference according to school years. and the college students in upper grades showed the high will to compromise in interest compromise and overall career compromise overall. It was found that there was a significant difference in interest compromise between 4-year college students and 2-year college students according to interdisciplinary division. Overall, it was found that the college students in upper grades had the high will to compromise. It was found that the type of career compromise was in orders of te group of overall compromise, the group of no compromise, the group of interest compromise and the group of position compromise in both the 2-year college and the 4-year college.
