Geographic Information System (GIS) data is a collection of Shapes that consist of attribute information and spatial information. Spatial information is a collection of points which are located on the 2-dim plane and have values of x and y-axis. And attribute information is a record of a table in database. Basic operations of constructing Shapes of GIS data are ‘Insert’, ‘Modify’ and ‘Delete’. ‘Modify spatial information’ or ‘Modify attribute information’ are examples of basic operations. During constructing shapes, ‘Work-Log’ is also created. And using the ‘Work-Log’ enables us to synchronize ‘GIS data’ in different systems. In this paper, first, we propose a list of ‘Work-Log’ modification Types. In that order, we propose abstract structure for each ‘Work-Logs’. Then, we propose a structure of local database as a real storage form. Finally, we verify that the proposed ‘Work-Log’ enables synchronization of GIS data between client and server on network, and also propose the class diagram for an algorithm. Synchronization of GIS data between client and server using ‘Work-Log’ will provide a method to handle GIS data between users, and a basis to manage / update GIS data on-line or off-line.
