In this study, we will investigate and analyze what constitutes a more visible and readable font for people with low vision and establish a media and font design guideline to enable development of fonts that meet classroom requirements.
Low vision, such as eye disease or eyesight field of vision problems and, the state of the handicap of the function and eyesight characteristics, differ by the individual. Therefore, I cannot cope with individually preparing a textbook or teaching material depending on each vanity. However, there are no studies to date based on reliable data that address the issue of written text. As text becomes more legible, it can be written using smaller characters and express a greater volume of information, which in turn leads to reduced usage of paper and other expressive media.
The fonts proposed in the guideline are readily visible and have been properly validated not only for use by people with low vision but also those without disabilities, and so we anticipate that they will also enjoy widespread acceptance among general users.
