3 RDCs, which were constructed in order to achieve a goal called regional industrial development, are being noted as the motive power of regional development. Especially in consideration of the common recognition as saying that the appearance of success in design support project may become the foundation of regional industrial development, this study aimed to suggest policy-based direction of insignificant RDC, by examining the responsiveness level on whether the project was performed correctly and loyally according to the initial goal, on the appearance of accuracy in project, and on the appearance of having been driven by properly reflecting local needs or expectation, through a survey on kinds, contents, and results of the design support project, which is being driven by 3 RDCs.
Conclusively in case of Busan Design Center, it was clarified to be relatively lower in the responsiveness level of having reflected the business accuracy and the regional needs compared to other RDC, in the goal of the support business, the business contents, and the business results. Accordingly, it is considered to be necessary for intensively supporting the specialized industrial field of being connected with regionally strategic industry such as marine tourism, leisure, sports, and ship equipments, with escaping from the existing direction of the design support policy in the future, and further for a change in policy for the design original-technology development available for promoting and developing this.
