Annemarie Schimmel, a professor of Bonn Univ and master of Iqbal Studies stated that in the West Mohammad Iqbal's fame has spread perhaps more than that of any other modem Islamic thinker and poet His Thought was influenced by Molavi(Rumi, 1273D,), Persian genius poet and by Ghazali(1058-1111), the greatest scholar in Islamic Theology, not to mention the Holy Quran Goethe and Nietzsche affected his thought, as well Apart from the ancient Persian Thought and Islamic influences, Iqbal's Thought is based on German Thought and Literature. In particular Goethe's Poems and Thought remains a great Influence on Iqbal's Thought Iqbal's admiration for Goethe's 『Faust』 was unbounded He always used to say that an Oriental mind can grasp the complex and mysterious sections of the second part of that immortal work more easily than a Western mind
In tills article Iqbal's Thought IS divided into 7 sorts of system Each Thought deserves to be dealt With one article Here I focus on the overall currents of his Thought His main Thought is Self(Khodi)which is emphasizing as to the development of human beings' inner mind He reminds all the people of the importance of Self cognition Self(Khodi) IS applied to 'Zat' and 'Fetrat' in Persian, and corresponded to '性, 心' of Confucianism In Iqbal's Thought, the Mind or Self is the centre of experience, subject to verification, too But It is different from the 'thought' of Hegal, or the 'experience' of Bradley His second Thought is Bikhodi(非我), the negation of existence derived from a term of Sufism, Bikhodi Thought is dealing with the realtion between human being and development of society Besides two mam Thoughts, only title of his Thought is mentioned as follows Perfect Man, Love(Intuition), Activism, Anti-nationalism, Islamic Unity, Human Dignity and Universalism
