This essay studies on the representation of the U.S. Army in the literature of 1940-50’s. The subject's memory process is re-constructions of image which are construction, distortion, or transformation.
The image of the U.S. Army in the works of early 1940’s is the enemy. Japan imperialism is the fantasy frame itself that construct the reality that the U.S. Army is the enemy.
And the images of the U.S. Army in the works of the last 1940’s are positive or negative images. These aspects are easily influenced by the subject’s memory which is affected right and left ideologies. the images of the U.S. Army becomes from the enemy to a minded person, and from a minded person to the occupation forces or a liberation army.
In addition to image of the U.S. Army in the works of 1950’s is reinforcements. The image results in forget-fulness or transformation of negative images. The image of the U.S. Army is re-constructions of image in the influence of anti-Communism.
