This paper aims to clear up the mentality of Keijo(Kyungsung) imperial university(1926～1945) and its effect on the Korean writer who graduated that university. Keijo imperial university was not for Korean but for Japanese colonizer in Korea. But it had a few of Korean student. Japanese student of Keijo imperial university represented Korea with the term 'dark blue(紺碧)' or 'blue sky(碧空)'. It represented Korea as nature, not civilization. It included the frontier spirit in itself. For Japanese student Korea was the nature that should be cultured and exploited by Japanese colonizer. The 'dark blue' or 'blue sky' meant such nature to be colonized. Such mentality effected Korean students too. Lee Hyoseok and Yu Jino, the graduates of Keijo imperial university wrote novel about Manchuria. They represented Manchuria as 'blue sky' in novels. They had colonial unconsciousness too.
