This paper examined the relationship between logistics system share and logistics performance. Based on the analysis of one-hundred two cases, the following results were found. First, physical distribution system performance can be enhanced through the relationship between primary activities, support activities, and in-bounding logistics system share. Second, physical distribution system performance can be enhanced through the relationship between primary activities, support activities, and out-bounding logistics system share. Third, physical distribution system performance can be enhanced through the relationship between primary activities, support activities, and value-added chain activities. However, there are several limitations such as homogeneity or heterogeneity of industry, controlling variables, and measurement for logistics performance that the preceding conclusions be considered preliminary.
