This research examined several functions of logistics outsourcing such as transportation, warehousing, packing, loading and unloading, information, clearance etc that export companies are utilizing in business.
It also examined the situations and strategy that can achieve more logistical outcome, For this, a research model was developed and verified. In this research model, as situational factors seven applicable variables were selected on the basis of a precedent research regarding the transaction cost theory. Logistic outsourcing types were partitioned into strategic outsourcing and simplicity outsourcing. Five different kinds of variables were used as factors to measure this partition. The outcome-related variables represent logistics outcomes, and five items were used to measure the outcome.
For relating logistics outcome, the hypotheses the strategic logistics type could take better effect than that of the simple outsourcing type in logistics outcome appeared to be supported positively. It was also found that both export firm's specific and transaction specific factors play important roles in the decision of logistic outsourcing types.
